Haven't drawn ZigZag and Rizrah in a while, and after seeing Rizrah last week I was inspired.

The thing I enjoy most about drawing these characters is that they are a lot more artistically 'free' than anything else I draw. I see them in my head as very fluid and toony, something like Ren and Stimpy or Spongebob. Whereas with my other artistic subjects, I try and make them anatomically realistic and fairly 'natural' looking, with these two I try and do the opposite.

I've always loved it in cartoons where things happen that follow no pattern and leave you thinking 'wtf?', like how in some scenes of Ren and Stimpy, ren had a tail. In others, he didn't. But its never questioned. Or when a character looks slightly different in different scenes. I like that kinda stuff.
Thats half the reason I chose hooved animals for my stonersonas; they are so much more comedic when it comes to putting them into everyday situations. They can't hold stuff, they can't operate machinery, they can't really do anything that lends itself to anthro, but that just makes it all the sillier and funnier to me.

I know the perspective is totally and utterly screwed; thats my fault for adding everything except the main characters as an afterthought. It was originally just gonna be those two on a white background, so I guess I didn't plan my carpet or random objects very well.

Stuff in the bowl is vodka jelly. Fuck, the damn vodka jelly.........

Have had major art block lately, and this is one of about 6 different half-started pieces on my computer right now. I just haven't had the enthusiasm to finish anything, but hopefully Im getting my spark back.
